Chattanooga 311 missed its own deadline on two-thirds of September requests, up from four in ten in May
Across 68,572 service requests filed between 2025-04-15 and 2025-10-28, the share closed after the due date the city itself set rose steadily through the summer: 41.8% for requests opened in May, 52.1
Across 68,572 service requests filed between 2025-04-15 and 2025-10-28, the share closed after the due date the city itself set rose steadily through the summer: 41.8% for requests opened in May, 52.1% in June, 48.8% in July, 66.4% in August and 64.7% in September. Over the whole period 33,270 of 64,826 closed requests (51.3%) finished late. The promise did not get harder: the median window between the open date and the due date held at 9-10 days every month, so the change is in delivery, not in the target. The slowdown is concentrated in Public Works Solid Waste, which accounts for 50,378 of the 68,572 requests and missed 59.2% of its deadlines. Brush Collection went from a median 9 business days to close in May to 12 in August and 26 in September; Bulk Trash went from 8 to 24 over the same months. Because 93% of September brush requests had closed by the time the data ends, the September medians are if anything conservative. October shows a catch-up rather than a return to form: 8,909 solid waste requests were closed against 4,159 opened, and requests closed in October had been waiting a median of 18 business days.
